KALAMAZOO, MI -- A person hoping to buy a cell phone was robbed at gunpoint Friday in Kalamazoo and police later tracked down the alleged robber.
Kalmazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded about 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16 to the 1300 block of Fox Ridge Drive on a robbery report.
Police said the two people arranged for the sale over social media. But when the buyer came to the Fox Ridge address to get the phone, the seller pulled the gun.
Police quickly identified a possible suspect and located that person, a 28-year-old Kalamazoo man, in an apartment in the same complex. He was arrested for armed robbery.
