Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is hoping the public can help the agency identify a man who robbed a Fort Myers cash-checking store, taking the cash and a phone.
According to a news release, the suspect held up Advanced America, 11861 Palm Beach Blvd., at gunpoint about 3:30 p.m. Friday.
The man walked in, showed the gun and demanded money. Before leaving, he took the landline phone. Witnesses said he walked across the parking lot and into a 7-Eleven before fleeing on foot.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000. Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
